INTRODUCING A NEW PODCAST: Not For Arts' Sake with Raja Feather Kelly
We are so happy to announce two new online experiences from our much-loved Creative Exchange Lab (CXL) artists! First up, we'd like to introduce you to Not For Arts' Sake with Raja Feather Kelly, available to stream now through PICA's SoundCloud. Created and produced by choreographer, director, and performance artist Raja Feather Kelly, this "artcast" takes the form of 30-minute speed interviews between Raja and fellow guest artists in PICA's Spring 2021 Creative Exchange Lab residency program. Not for Arts' Sake brings people closer to art, and artists closer to people. NOW STREAMING! FALL 2021 CXL: MEET THE ARTISTS
You can now stream the Fall 2021 Creative Exchange Lab Meet the Artists. Part artist conversation and part work samples, this video takes a deeper dive into the creative processes of our artists in residence this Fall. Recorded while working from the beautiful Camp Colton in Colton, OR, this video features four of the five Fall 2021 CXL artists (Crystal Cortez, mario lemafa, Maya Vivas, and Timothy White Eagle) and one of two coordinators (Arminda Gandara). With an edition focused on building connections between the Portland and Seattle regions, the Fall CXL included Crystal Cortez (Portland, OR), mario lemafa (Seattle, WA), Sara Siestreem (Portland, OR), Maya Vivas (Portland, OR), and Timothy White Eagle (Seattle, WA). Coordinators were Arminda Gandara and Hannon Welch.
