Food is For the People
Food pantries and resources this holiday season
The holidays are about generosity, gratitude, and community. Ahead of the end-of-year festivities, we are sharing some resources for those facing food insecurity in Portland, plus ways to support these efforts. We wish you a well holiday season and hope you'll pass this email along if you know someone who could use it.
All information below is from the original sources.
Esther's Pantry
Hours: Mondays 1:00 - 4:00, Tuesdays 2:00 - 5:00, Wednesdays 1:00 - 3:00, Thursdays 2:00 - 5:00
Location: 10202 SE 32nd Ave, Milwaukie, OR
Esther's Pantry provides food and personal care items for those with HIV who are facing food insecurity. The pantry is unique in that it allows clients to select the food they want, from well-stocked shelves, rather than being handed a pre-packed box of food.
Donations dropped off at one of our sites go directly to individuals and families in our community who are living with HIV.
Support: Meals On Us PDX
Meals On Us PDX is a nonprofit organization providing healthy, chef-curated meals for those who need them most, at no charge to them.

- Whole turkeys
- Carrots
- Green beans
- Sweet potatoes
- Celery
- Pork loin
Donations can be dropped off at 247 SE 82nd Ave (enter on Ash St). Or, you can Meals On Us PDX via one of the buttons below.
Feed'em Freedom Foundation Black Community Food Center/Food Pantry
Hours: Wed 2:30-4pm & Thur 3-6pm
Location: 4450 NE 131st St, Portland, OR
Feed'em Freedom Foundation (FFF) is dedicated to fostering resilient food systems for Oregon communities by empowering Black agriculturists to lead and own our land stewardship, regional food security, and economic prosperity.
FFF's food pantry channels economic strength to our local food producers and provides culturally relevant and nutrient dense foods into the homes of families most in need. At the core of our work lies a commitment to food security and sovereignty, addressing immediate nutritional needs and the systemic inequities contributing to hunger.
Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) Food Pantry and Clothing Closet
The Native American Youth and Family Center’s (NAYA) food pantry addresses food insecurity within the Native American community. The pantry has fresh produce sourced from NAYA’s own garden and nutritional food boxes prepared for Native families. Boxes are available by contacting your case manager or advocate, or by contacting the front desk (503-288-8177).
Clothing Closet Donations Welcome!
Our clothing closet is made possible by generous donations from our community. We gladly accept gently used clothing and shoes for all ages. Donations can be dropped off at the front office: 5135 NE Columbia Boulevard, Portland, OR.
Support: Black Futures Farm
