Give with Purpose ❤ Ways to Support Indigenous-led Organizations, Groups, and Artists

During this week where some have a few days off, and many still have to work, we ask you to take a pause and think about where you can give back. The past 18 months have taught us many things, among them is how to re-align ourselves with what we truly value, family and friends, community, conversation, and commitment to change. Wherever you find yourself this week, please consider giving back. While we at PICA are in the middle of our Year-End Giving Campaign, we’d also like to take this opportunity to put forth a few other resources and ways to give, especially to Indigenous-led organizations, groups, and artists.

Learn more through the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Tribal History curriculum unit. This curriculum was created from the need for a historically accurate and culturally relevant curriculum in Oregon schools about Oregon Native Americans and as a response to countless requests from Oregon teachers for classroom-ready materials on Native Americans.

Just in time for Native American Heritage Month, the Native Arts & Culture Foundation (NACF) is participating in the 2021 Willamette Week‘s Give!Guide. The Give!Guide encourages support of the Portland, Oregon, area-based nonprofits via an easy to access online platform. With your support for NACF's mission, NACF will realize a vision of Portland as a hub for Native people through arts, culture, and social justice at their new headquarters, the Center for Native Arts and Cultures.
