BRAD ADKINS

OH YEAH OK

“Adkins is an orchestrator of the quotidian...(whose) interventions turn the everyday into art.” —Matthew Stadler

Adkins will show up at TBA Central every day at 2 pm. Those who also show up will either be treated to an overview of some things he’s done, has heard about, or is thinking about doing, or be ushered to another place to hear and see some things other people are doing.

Brad Adkins was born in Kalispell, Montana. Adkins' individual, collaborative, and curatorial work has been presented at The Art Gym, Consolidated Works, Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Gallery, The Portland Art Museum, and PICA; and has been noted and featured in ArtNews, Artweek, Modern Painters, Punk Planet, and The Independent. His work is represented by PDX Contemporary Art (OR). BIG RED, an audio cd that documents an afternoon conversation between Adkins and Curtis Knapp on the subjects of performance, imitation, and close-up magic, was produced by Marriage Records in 2004.

This performance is made possible in part by the Kristy Edmunds Fund for New Work.
