TBA:19 CORNER STORE
TBA:FOOD AND CORNER STORE ARE CURATED BY SPENCER BYRNE-SERES, PICA EXHIBITIONS DIRECTOR
This year, TBA:FOOD launches Corner Store, a pop-up convenience store open day and night, stocked with local, grab-and-go drinks, food, and merchandise for festival-goers. Think deli foods, snacks, chips, groceries, toiletries, and other necessities an artist, traveler, or neighbor might need. Corner Store asks, “How can institutions be sources of nourishment for artists, audiences, and their surrounding communities?” By going beyond typical festival or museum concessions, Corner Store recasts how art institutions can serve as sites for basic needs. On our busiest Late Nights, we will also be joined by some of our favorite Portland pop-ups.
