Itai Erdal is an award-winning lighting designer and a gifted and gregarious storyteller. In How to Disappear Completely, Erdal blends these skills in a reflection on mortality and family, charting the course of his mother’s diagnosis with cancer, and revealing the events that followed her asking him to help her die. Erdal brings no actor’s tricks to his performance, only the direct power of his story and the nuanced potency of stage lighting in this honest act of public memory.
