A starkly intimate duet by Charlotte Vanden Eynde and Kurt Vandendriessche, MAP ME unfolds with a unique combination of delicate, tactile choreography and live video projection. The two performers use their bodies like canvasses to reveal physical and emotional aspects which commonly remain hidden or unknown. Layered, multiple images create a poetic x-ray of the couple as they dissolve and recreate themselves, investigating new paradigms of identity, freedom and integration.

Belgian-born Charlotte Vanden Eynde trained as a dancer at the Hoger Instituut voor Dans in Lier and at PARTS, the Brussels school for contemporary dance headed by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. She has created a prolific body of acclaimed work which includes Benenbreken, Zij Ogen, Vrouwenvouwen, the duet Lijfstof in collaboration with Ugo Dehaes, and Beginnings/Endings; and the installation-performances: Ligging for Kaaitheater (Brussels), Verroering, Baby and Stand for de Brakke Grond (Amsterdam). Recently, she has collaborated with stage director Jan Decorte, Marc Vanrunxt, and recently debuted to much acclaim as a film actress.

Belgian-born Kurt Vandendriessche studied theatre at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and performs extensively as a theatre and film actor. Some of his recent work has included Jan Decorte’s Cirque Danton, Jan Fabre’s Parrots & Guinea Pigs, Dominique Derruddere’s Firmin, and Paul Deschanel Movement Research Group’s Small Spaces—Low Energy. Recently, he created the installation-performance, Ginette Delafontaine +, t.g.v. ‘Grand Tour’ in the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent, and designed the scenography for Vanden Eynde’s Beginnings/Endings.
