State of Being

PICA’s 2022 Spring Fundraiser, State of Being, is a chance to get out and BE together. Co-hosted by Mx. Dahlia Belle and Andrew Dickson, this indoor/outdoor event is a time to let loose, express yourself, and raise funds in the name of contemporary art. This is not your typical fundraiser—this is an active exchange. Parties are back, and we are all here to bring it.

What to Expect

Layer up for an evening of multitudes. There will be small bites and *custom cocktails—served with a twist! Support the cause and raise those paddles! This fundraiser will include a DJ set with Shannon Funchess, guest appearance by Rizo, a live auction, and chances to win big with on-site raffle prizes. Plus, we are very excited to announce our first-ever All-Star Karaoke with guest appearances by Lindy West, Thao, Physical Education (keyon gaskin, Allie Hankins, Lu Yim, and Takahiro Yamamoto), and more! Get ready to sing your heart out with audience karaoke too! There will be artist installations and lounges by THAT YEAR, Matthew Henderson + PCC Multimedia Students, Urbanite, Adam Kostiv + August Laurent, and more! Enjoy your current state of being in celebration of contemporary art!

Dress to impress. In true PICA fashion guests are encouraged to don their finest dopamine duds -- as in, dress in a way that makes you happy! Go over the top with tulle and trim or come in matching sweats. Think layers, textures, sheer, and patterns. Keep an eye on our Instagram @picapdx for upcoming fashion inspo!

Tickets

$100 - Individual Tickets
$1,000 - A bundle of 10 tickets with a reserved spot at the heart of the event.
$1,500 - A bundle of 10 tickets, a reserved spot at the heart of the event, tickets for two artists to attend, and a donation towards PICA's programs.

COVID-19

We require proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test (taken 48 hours before arrival). Accessibility

State of Being is an indoor and outdoor event. Inside, PICA’s Annex, Resource Room, and Main Warehouse spaces are on the ground floor and are accessible to those with mobility aids. ADA-accessible, gender-neutral restrooms are located inside of PICA. PICA's backlot has a paved asphalt surface with a slight slope on which there is a covered outdoor Pavilion. There is limited street parking available, rideshare or public transit are encouraged. More details can be found on pica.org/about/visit.
