CAUGHT IN CANDY

Mickey Pollizatto and Daniel Bidwell (aka DannyDamage & MikkiSpin) are the brawn and brains behind caught in candy, an electro pop duo from Portland. Frequent performers with Breakfast of Champions, Sparkleheart’s Burley-Q Underground, Pho Bang, and Sissyboy, caught in candy use alter-egos and create gender bending characters to perform their music. Their most popular characters are Cabiria Jones & Maximillian Hertzalot, two retro 40’s electro-cabaret performers saturated with drugs, greed and controversy.

For TBA:06, caught in candy present a review of their work over the last two years, and unveil some new tricks along the way. Their performance includes videos produced by Ali Astro of DK PDX fame, and back up dancers Dale Davis and Beth VanBuecken from Breakfast of Champions. With the help of six-inch heels and a Macintosh, they give the crowd a wiggle as they gawk and giggle.
